The year has flown by and we’re inching closer to the heart of holiday season. Cold weather, family gatherings, and Christmas music will creep up on us. You may also notice more men growing mustaches and beards around this time. While they may be growing them to keep their faces warm, it is also No Shave November.
Never heard of it? No Shave November is a unique way to raise cancer awareness. How does it raise awareness? Men and women are urged to embrace their hair and let it grow freely. Cancer patients often lose their hair, which can take a toll on them physically, mentally and emotionally. Instead of spending money on shaving or grooming, you can donate that money to help educate about cancer prevention and help those currently battling cancer.
Not really into “letting it grow”? You can purchase merchandise or simply make a donation to support the cause. Or if you are interested in letting it grow, you can join a team, start your own, or go solo. Fundraising goals depend on how you register. For the rest of the month, promote No Shave November to reach your goal, and remember, don’t shave.
Bottom line – cancer sucks. No Shave November provides a simple and fun way to raise funds to support cancer prevention, research, education, and continuing care for patients. For more information, you can visit them online or find them on social media.
